Outline and Purpose of the Course This course focuses on experimental research on a specific research theme related to enzyme chemistry.
Course Goals Students will be able to do their own research extensively with curiosity.
Schedule and Contents On this course, students are given a research theme. They will work on it extensively and learn how to do experiments and how to analyze results.

The course will offer plenty of practice in the following experimental skills.

1. Preparation of enzymes
2. Measurement of enzyme activity and stability
3. Genetic engineering of enzymes
4. UV, CD, and fluorescence measurements
5. Thermodynamic analysis
Evaluation Methods and Policy Refer to '2020 Guide to Degree Programs' for attainment levels of evaluation.
Evaluation will be based on the followings:
1. How extensively have they been doing research?
2. Have they realized the desired results?
Course Requirements Students are expected to have basic knowledge of biochemistry, enzyme chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students should spend enough time and attention on research.
