Outline and Purpose of the Course This course builds on the skills students developed in Scientific Communication 1 (S001). Students will learn to hone their ability to define the audience and purpose of the document so as to effectively communicate technical information to other scientists, as well as to key people in industry and government. They will improve their technical writing style for a variety of document types. In addition, debating and oral presentation skills will be honed.

Evaluation Methods and Policy Grades will be calculated on the basis of class attendance (50%), class preparation & participation (30%), and presentation (20%).
