Outline and Purpose of the Course We will practice translating Vietnamese documents that students need for writing their pre-doctoral theses (master’s theses) into Japanese and improve the students’ ability to read Vietnamese.
Course Goals Through practice of reading newspapers and dissertations, we will try to read and understand the outline without dictionaries.
Schedule and Contents Students should prepare for each class.
Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation will be made based on attendance and class participation.
Course Requirements This course is for persons who have studied elementary Vietnamese. Since we will be translating Vietnamese into Japanese, the class is limited to students who have a suitable level of ability in Japanese.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Before attending the class, students have to translate the Vietnamese text into Japanese.
