Outline and Purpose of the Course Students will learn the fieldwork techniques for discovering research questions in the contemporary problems that the region is facing.
Course Goals Students are required to acquire advanced knowledge and techniques for field research.
Schedule and Contents As the students proceed with their on-site fieldwork, faculty members will provide practical advice as needed.
Evaluation Methods and Policy Students will be evaluated on their active efforts in their fieldwork and the degree to which they achieve their goals.
Course Requirements Students who have received on-site instruction in or after their second year and have not yet presented their pre-doctoral thesis. For more details, please read the student manual:

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students are required to collect and analyze materials which are necessary for their own research.
