Outline and Purpose of the Course In an information-based society, gaining information literacy along with network and computer literacy is vital. This course aims to equip students with the basic, practical network and information literacy they need for university-level study and research. In addition, this course will cultivate the information device operation skills and information processing abilities required by educational environments.
Course Goals ・Learn to use Excel for data processing and creating graphs
・Learn basic methods for conducting online questionnaires
・Learn to create reports in Word using the style and outline functions

Class 2: Basic data processing
Class 3: Using various mathematical functions
Class 4: Creating graphs
Class 5: Creating survey forms
Class 6: Creating online questionnaires
Class 7: Analyzing survey data
Class 8: Basic document creation
Class 9: Creating documents using tables
Class 10: Creating documents using charts
Class 11: Creating documents using outlines
Class 12: Creating reports
Class 13: Correcting and evaluating reports

 Students will be evaluated based on achievement goals under the Faculty of Education grading policy.
Course Requirements Students should have either completed the first-semester course “Seminar of Information Science I” or should possess equivalent knowledge/skills to those taught in “Seminar of Information Science I.”
