Outline and Purpose of the Course The purpose of this course is to deepen understanding of business strategy and learn a method of practice by conducting concrete case analyses and projects in parallel with acquiring knowledge on the basic theory of business administration.
Course Goals ① Understand the core concepts and theories of management strategy
② Apply these concepts and theories to acquire the ability to analyze and evaluate management strategies in actual businesses
③ Acquire the skills to conceive new business mechanisms
Schedule and Contents The class consists of the following three parts:

1. Acquisition of the basic theory and framework of business administration: Participants deliver presentations and discuss themes of management theory, which are determined weekly.
2. Projects in subgroups: Participants are divided into the following groups: ① Data Analysis Group, ② Company Case Group, and ③ Management Case Group, which conduct analyses and research in accordance with each theme.
3. Live consulting: Participants listen to management issues from actual practitioners and propose ideas to resolve issues.

Schedule:
(1) will be done weekly. For (2), you will submit an update on your progress every two weeks and present your interim results on the last class day of the first term. (3) will be conducted several times in class.
Evaluation Methods and Policy Class Participation (contribution to discussion): 50%, Project: 50%
Course Requirements Nothing in particular, but an active learning attitude as well as active efforts and contributions will make you a good class citizen. This will improve the practicum time for all participants.
