Outline and Purpose of the Course Theme: Economics of the Environment and Energy
 Climate change, the most difficult environmental issue to resolve, is closely linked to energy use. If energy decarbonization is an essential element of the measures to be taken, then it is impossible to consider climate change without considering how to use nuclear power. The purpose of the lesson is to grasp an overall picture of these problems without neglecting the details thereof.
Course Goals It is fine to achieve a deeper understanding than what you had before the seminar began. However, it would be better if your level of understanding exceeded mine.
Schedule and Contents The following aspects will be covered in this class, as the understanding thereof is crucial in achieving the aforementioned purposes of this class.

Weeks 8?14: Knowing the Risks of Nuclear Energy and Radiation?Yukio Tateno (2001) "Radiation and Health," Iwanami Shoten, John W. Gofman (2011) "Humans and Radiation" (Akashi Shoten), etc.
Week 15: Summary
Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation will be based on participation points.
