Outline and Purpose of the Course In this course, students will acquire knowledge and skills to solve various problems using computers, following "Economic Data Processing 1." Specifically, basic lectures on programming with the Python language will be given, and students will also practice Python to acquire the skills.
Course Goals 1. Learning how to solve problems using computers.
2. Learning the basics of designing and running programs on computers.
3. Learning the basic skills of writing programs in the Python language.
Schedule and Contents Lectures will be given on the following topics:
1. Computers and programming (3-4 weeks in total)
- Solving problems with computers
- Computer programming
- Programming languages
- Algorithms
2. Programming in the Python language (1-2 weeks each, the order is changed accordingly)
- Overview
- Control statements
- Variables, data types, lists
- Operators
- Functions, classes
- Modules and practical applications
Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation will be based on two reports.
Course Requirements Students must have acquired basic skills to use computers and operating systems. It is recommended to take "Introduction to Information Processing" and "Economic Data Processing 1." Knowledge of programming languages is not required.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Each lecture assumes that students understand the contents of the previous lectures, so please review thoroughly.
