Outline and Purpose of the Course We will cover upper-level undergraduate macroeconomics.
The objective is to enable us to think about macroeconomic phenomena based on models.
Course Goals The students will be able to read papers or articles based on standard macroeconomic models, and understand their rough structures and mechanisms.
Schedule and Contents We will group read an advanced undergraduate level textbook on macroeconomics.
Evaluation Methods and Policy Comprehensive evaluations are made based on class attendance status, reaching the standard of reports as expected, and comments made in classes.
Course Requirements To attend, the student should have basic knowledge about derivatives.
The student should have completed or have equivalent knowledge in Microeconomics 1 & 2, Macroeconomics 1 & 2, and Econometrics.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) The assigned student will be asked to explain the designated sections of the textbook and papers. Thus, preparing in advance for reporting is necessary, such as creating slides.
You are also asked to read about where other students are in charge and ask questions or comment on other students' reports.
Textbooks Textbooks/References Textbooks will not be used.
