Outline and Purpose of the Course Practicing research that specializes in the human aspects of management. After round-reading the relevant literature, identify the problem from your perspective as a team or as an individual. While referring to the prior literature, think about theories and hypotheses that will lead to new discoveries; conduct empirical surveys through surveys, experiments, fieldwork, etc.; and write a dissertation. Disseminate the thesis and other achievements externally in some way such as by applying for a thesis prize or contest.
Course Goals Acquire knowledge in the field of "people" issues in management (organizational behavior theory, human resource management theory, etc.)
Enhance the ability to interpret the literature including that written in English
Acquire problem-setting skills, hypothesis-building capabilities, logical and scientific thought, and hypothesis verification capabilities to practice research
Acquire project management know-how through the implementation of research projects
Improve your presentation skills and ability to write papers
Schedule and Contents Weeks 1?3: Set a rough research theme and read the related literature (Japanese and English) in a group.
Weeks 4?6: Learn basic research methods, data analysis methods, and dissertation writing methods based on specific cases.
Weeks 7?10: Formulate a concrete research plan and conduct research as a team or as an individual.
Weeks 11?14: Analyze the results of your research and write a dissertation.
Week 15: Disseminate papers and other deliverables to the outside world.

The following are examples of research conducted by students in recent years:
? A trial to build a job offer strategy theory to prevent companies from declining job offers to excellent students
? The effect of challenging stress in the organization, the effect of benign jealousy in the organization
? Analysis of black company criteria and the long-term performance of black companies
? Study on whether procrastination can be transmitted to others
? Impact of stock options on corporate performance, impact of outside directors on corporate performance

Regarding the practice of research, at first, it will be conducted to a certain extent through imitation with reference to previous research. Through practice, it will be possible for you to intuitively understand the value and importance of conducting research.

Course Requirements It is desirable to take courses in similar subjects (management organization, organizational behavior, human resource management theory, etc.) focusing on the problem of "people" in management.
