Introduction to Kalecki's Thought and Economics (5 classes)
Course Goals The goal is to understand the process by which modern economics is formed through the conflicts between orthodox and novel?sometimes termed "heretical"?economic thought.
Schedule and Contents The orthodox school's neoclassical economics was formed and developed from the end of the 19th century to the 20th century. However, we consider the significance and limitations of the various economic ideas that appeared in opposition to it.
Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation is based on presentations in classes.
Course Requirements Interest in economics history and history. It is desirable to also have knowledge on microeconomics and macroeconomics.
