Outline and Purpose of the Course	The "Introductory Seminar" takes the form of a small-group, which allows new students to smoothly transition from high school education to university education. The aim common to all classes is for students to acquire academic skills and learning ethics required for university study and research. After the students have acquired the necessary skills, the university study of economics or business management will be introduced.
Course Goals	To understand the basics necessary for studying economics or business management by acquiring academic skills and learning ethics necessary for studying and researching at university.
Schedule and Contents	1. The themes common to all classes are as follows. ○ How to take notes, write resumes, and write reports/research papers ○ Etiquettes of presentation and discussion ○ Learning ethics: Plagiarism ○ Introductions to library and information retrieval 2. After students have acquired the skills, the study of economics or business management will be introduced by faculty members. A detailed description will be given at the orientation after the entrance ceremony. Rooms for class and seminar will be indicated before the study starts. At the introductory seminar, information regarding the process and textbooks will be provided, and students will introduce themselves.
Evaluation Methods and Policy	70 points for class participation (class attendance, presentation/participation in class, etc.), and 30 points for the final report. Submission of the final report is a requirement for earning the credit.
