| Outline and Purpose of the Course |
This year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up policy. Despite various problems, China has achieved rapid economic growth and has changed from a low-income country to a middle-income country. Why has China been able to achieve such economic growth? Can China overcome the so-called "middle-income trap" and become a high-income country? What relationship should China, with that achievement, have with the Asian economy and the world economy? This course will look back on China's economic development process, clarify its factors and issues, and examine its future direction and relationships with other countries. |
