Outline and Purpose of the Course Analysis of corporate behavior in incomplete competitive markets using microeconomics and game theory. The goal is to clarify the economic significance of various competition and corporate strategies.
Course Goals To learn the basics of game theory and understand the mechanisms of strategic action.
The objective is being able to analyze various phenomena of practical economics by focusing on the strategic aspects.
Schedule and Contents After first reviewing the basics of Microeconomics, lectures will be given on the following topics.

1. Game Theory

c. Asymmetric information game

2. Models of Imperfect Competition

a. Cournot model
b. Bertrand model
c. Stackelberg model

3. Economic Analysis of Cartels, Mergers, and Entry

4. Product differentiation competition

a. Product differentiation and Cournot model
b. Hoteling model

5. Economic Analysis of Marketing Strategies

a. Pricing strategy
b. Product Strategy
c. Distribution strategy

6. Economic Analysis of Durable Goods
