Outline and Purpose of the Course Based on the basic knowledge of the fully competitive market economy studied in Microeconomics 1, Microeconomics 2 covers incomplete competitive markets and public goods. We will also consider the impact of uncertainty and information asymmetry on individuals and markets. In addition, we will learn methods for analyzing strategic behavior.
Course Goals Being able to solve practice questions on the incomplete competition market, public goods, uncertainty, information asymmetry, etc.
Schedule and Contents The following issues will be covered, two to three weeks per subject.

1. Decision Making and Market Equilibrium under Uncertainty
2. Game Theory
3. Public Goods and Externalities
4. Monopoly
5. Oligopoly
6. The Economics of Information
Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation is based on results of the final exam.
Course Requirements This course assumes that students are also taking Microeconomics 1.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students should prepare from textbooks before class and solve practice questions after class.
