Outline and Purpose of the Course Management is the action of an organization in an economic society to achieve the desired results. Management Studies is a discipline that provides systematic knowledge about management, and its main target is a company that is instrumental in modern economic society and has great influence.
This class teaches the basics of management studies. The course is based on basic texts which outline the concepts, theories, perspectives, frameworks, etc. fundamental to understanding and thinking about management, and provide the knowledge and images that will be essential for a wide and in-depth learning of management. In addition to providing practical examples, the course will be conducted with a perspective for applying to real-world problems, while also introducing some specific examples. The classes will be lecture-oriented.
Course Goals Management is an introductory class in the field of management studies. To understand the overall picture of corporate management and management studies, as well as basic concepts and theories of management in key areas such as strategy, marketing, organization, business management, accounting, corporate finance, corporate governance, social responsibility, etc. The goal is to acquire the basic knowledge and study management more professionally by understanding the perspectives and frameworks.

Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation based on final exam (70% weightage) and the class report (30%). For both, the students' understanding of concepts, theories, viewpoints, and frameworks described in class and ability to link them to real problems is tested, but the test focuses on evaluating accurate understanding of concepts, theories, viewpoints, frameworks, and so on, and the reports emphasize evaluating the ability to apply them to real-world problems.

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Preparation: Reading the relevant parts of the text specified in advance.
Review: Understanding the overview of the class and applying it to the problems in the short reports, while reviewing what was taught in the class and contents of the text.
