Outline and Purpose of the Course | The purpose of this course is to acquire basic knowledge of surveying, such as error theory, distance survey, angle survey, traverse survey, flat plate survey, and stadia survey. | |||

Schedule and Contents |
Lectures will cover the following topics. However, the order of topics and number of lectures on a topic may change depending on the progress. Day 1: Orientation / Basic outline of surveying Day 2: Distance survey Day 3: Principles and methods of angular survey I Day 4: Principles and methods of angular survey II Day 5: Principles and methods of traverse survey Day 6: Theory of errors I Day 7: Theory of errors II Day 8: Principles and methods of leveling I Day 9: Principles and methods of leveling II Day 10: Principles and methods of triangulation Day 11: Principles and methods of flat plate surveying Day 12: Photographic surveying Day 13: GIS and remote sensing Day 14: GPS survey < Day 15: Feedback (Feedback process will be shared separately) The above contents may be changed depending on the level of understanding of the course and the progress of "Survey and Practice" (C224). A quiz will be conducted in almost every lecture and appropriate feedback provided. |

Evaluation Methods and Policy | The evaluation criteria and achievement level are in accordance with the "Evaluation Criteria and Achievement Level" described in the Student Handbook of the Faculty of Agriculture for the relevant year. For evaluation, attendance is given 25% weightage, quizzes 25% weightage, and final examination 50% weightage. | |||

1. In the surveying class, a quiz will be given at the end of each class. You will have to do extensive calculation work in the quiz, so please buy a scientific calculator and be ready to use it. 2.The answers of the quiz will be distributed in the next class after the test. Be sure to review the quiz questions. |
