Numbering Code U-AGR02 1B103 LJ79 Year/Term 2022 ・ First semester
Number of Credits 2 Course Type Lecture
Target Year 1st year students Target Student
Language Japanese Day/Period Fri.1
Instructor name SHIRAI OSAMU (Graduate School of Agriculture Professor)
SUGASE KENJI (Graduate School of Agriculture Professor)
Outline and Purpose of the Course To develop basic academic skills to examine topics related to applied life science, such as the environment, life, food, and energy, mainly from the perspective of chemistry. Based on chemistry learned in high school, students learn the fundamentals that are necessary to master specialist subjects at university. It is intended that Weeks 1 and 15 will be spent receiving guidance from teaching staff.
Course Goals To develop fundamental concepts of basic physical and analytical chemistry and chemical thermodynamics which serve as basic chemistry and calculating abilities. To apply the knowledge in the field of life science. Furthermore, to acquire an overview of the field of physical chemistry in applied life science.
