Outline and Purpose of the Course Course goals: Delivering an effective presentation of your ideas is often as important as the quality of the ideas themselves. There are many types of English presentations but all successful ones share common features: clarity precision concision
and an engagement with and understanding of the audience. This course aims to enable non-native English speakers to understand these features and deliver more effective presentations of their own with a particular focus on academic-style presentations. The best way to improve presentation skills is to present often.
As such half of the sessions will involve in-class presentations by students followed by teacher and peer feedback.
