Outline and Purpose of the Course We discuss the synthesis of novel functional molecules and the creation of functional materials, and aim to establish new concepts in modern science and technology.
Course Goals You can learn the following methods: functional molecule design, organic synthesis, analysis of molecular structures and aggregate structures, analysis of optical/thermal/electrochemical properties, evaluation of various materials functions, simple quantum chemical calculation, various microscope operation, etc.
Schedule and Contents Synthesis and structural analysis of organic molecules with new functions
Development of functional materials based on unique new molecules
Creating new science and technology concepts with functional molecules
Course Requirements Studying organic chemistry and learning basic skills of organic synthesis are highly recommended.
