Outline and Purpose of the Course By focusing on improving students’ French reading comprehension skills, this course provides introductory instruction in French literature research methodology using the explication de texte and commentaire compos? methods.

Course Requirements Intermediate level French language proficiency is required.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Since emphasis is placed on participation, everyone is required to prepare for the class by studying the materials to be covered beforehand.
