Outline and Purpose of the Course Course Title : Contemporary Society, Science, and Technology A

This is a compulsory course (required introductory course) in the Policy Science program.
It precedes Contemporary Society, Science, and Technology B, students should complete this course A before taking course B.
Course Goals The goal of the Policy Science program is to cultivate “integrated human resources" linking sciences, society, and policy. To this end, instructors lecture on related topics which students then discuss, requiring them to think about scientific diversity, society, and policy.

Session 8 [6/24] Town planning/regional planning and social capital (Specially Appointed Professor Masato Yodo, School of Management)

Evaluation Methods and Policy Comprehensively determined based on everyday score (attendance and contribution to seminar) and reports (submission status and content).
Course Requirements This course precedes Contemporary Society, Science, and Technology, and as a general rule, students must take this course first.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Some Lecturers require advance readings. All classes require subsequent written assignments.
