Outline and Purpose of the Course This course introduces the following: (1) communications link analysis; (2) design of wireless networks; (3) performance analysis techniques; (4) radio resource management; (5) outlines the relationship with optimization theory, game theory, stochastic geometry, and machine learning.
Course Goals It is expected that (1) communications link analysis, (2) design of wireless networks, (3) performance analysis techniques, (4) radio resource management are mastered and applied.
Schedule and Contents The following topics are covered,
1. Transmission power control in four lectures
2. Transmission scheduling in two lectures
3. Link analysis in two lectures
4. Wireless network design and stochastic geometry in two lectures
5. Game theory in two lectures
6. Machine learning in two lectures
7. Review on the achievement level of the achievement goals
Evaluation Methods and Policy Students are required to submit reports on some subjects and take an interview on the reports. These are used to evaluate how much each student has met the attainment target.
Course Requirements Students are required to have basic knowledge of information theory, modulation theory and communication networks.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Preparation before classes would be provided in classes if required.
