Outline and Purpose of the Course	我々の生活を支えている地球システムについて、化学、生物学、地学の観点から解説する。生物地球科学IIでは、湿地、内陸水、海洋で起きている諸過程を、それらが基づく生物学的反応および化学反応について学ぶ。その後に生物地球科学Iで学習した内容も含め、諸過程が統合して起きている地球規模での生物地球化学的循環について学ぶ。 The Earth system that sustains our life will be explained from the viewpoint of chemistry, biology, and geology. In Biogeochemistry II, students will learn about the processes occurring in wetlands, inland water, and oceans and the biological and chemical reactions they are based on. Then the global biogeochemical cycles will be described integrating the processes including those studied in Biogeochemistry I.
Course Goals	・地球上での元素あるいは物質の循環についての知識を得る。 ・地球環境問題や農業活動を、生物地球化学的循環の理解に基づいて考察できるようになる。 The goals of the lectures are to gain knowledge of biogeochemical cycles on the Earth, and to be able to comprehend the environmental problems and agricultural activities based on the understanding of biogeochemical cycles.

Evaluation Methods and Policy	出席および受講態度（50%）とレポート（50%）によって評価する。 The evaluation will be made based on attendance and attitude (50%), and reports (50%). 到達目標について、地球環境学舎の成績評価基準に従って評価する。 Achievement level is assessed by GSGES's criteria.
Course Requirements	後期前半に開講される「生物地球化学I」を受講済みであること。 Students are required to have attended "Biogeochemistry I."
