Outline and Purpose of the Course	指導教員の助言によって海外の国・公立の研究機関、民間企業などに一定期間滞在し、研究や調査を主とするプロジェクト研究を行います。 [Outline] On the advice of their supervisors, students spend a certain period of time at a national or public research institution, private company, or other organization outside Japan, and pursue their own project primarily involving surveys and research.
Course Goals	事前に派遣先と打ち合わせたプロジェクト内容に沿った研究を遂行し、研究成果をまとめることを目指す。
Schedule and Contents	指導教員の助言によって海外の国・公立の研究機関、民間企業などに一定期間滞在し、研究や調査を主とするプロジェクト研究をおこなうもののうち、これに携わる期間が2-4週間ある場合には、提出された報告書に基づいて単位が認定されることがあります。 渡航前に「海外研究プロジェクト申請書」（所定用紙）と研究先からの受入通知（様式随意）の提出が必要です。所定用紙はKULASISの本研究科のホームページよりダウンロードしてください。 [Procedures prior to commencement of research] On the advice of their supervisors, students spend a certain period of time at a national or public research institution, private company, or other organization outside Japan, and pursue their own project primarily involving surveys and research. Provided the time spent on the project is between two and four weeks, credit may be granted pursuant to a report submitted. Before departure, applicants should submit an Overseas Research Project Application Form (Form 1) to the Student Affairs Section, attaching a notification of acceptance (no specified format) from the proposed host institution.
Evaluation Methods and Policy	渡航後に、海外研究報告書（所定用紙）を研究レポートと研究先からの研究の終了を認定する書類（研究先の名称、研究場所、研究期間、研究テーマ、研究先指導者名、所見を記載したもの）（様式随意）とともに指導教員に提出し、国際教育委員会で調査のうえ、学生の所属する専攻で承認を得られた場合、単位を付与します。所定用紙は教務掛に問い合わせてください。 なお、認定単位については、課程で１単位を上限となります。 [Evaluation method/criteria and procedures following completion of research] (1) After returning to Japan, students should submit an Overseas Research Project Report Form (Form 2) to their supervisors together with a research report and document from the host institution confirming that the research has been completed (no specified format, but must include the host institution name, place of research, research period, research topic, name of research supervisor at host institution, and comments) as soon as possible. (2) Supervisors should submit a Credit Approval Report (Form 3) to the Dean of the Graduate School. Credit will be granted following review by the International Education Committee and approval by the Division to which the student belongs. [Credit] A maximum of one credit will be granted toward completion of the degree program.

Study outside of Class (preparation and review)	プロジェクト内容に沿った内容について、教科書あるいは参考書の該当部分を読んで予習する。また派遣終了後は、教科書あるいは参考書を対応させつつ研究の成果を確認する。 Students will read those parts relevant to their research in textbooks and reference books. After completing study abroad, students will complie the result of their research.
