Outline and Purpose of the Course Plant propagation in horticultural crops is outlined with special references to the following topics.
1. Reproduction biology in horticultural crops
2. Asexual propagation in horticultural crops
3. Sexual propagation in horticultural crops
Schedule and Contents Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the following topics by reading review articles of research papers published overseas.

 Flower bud formation of horticultural crops
 Recent studies related to the flower bud formation of horticultural crops (mainly fruit trees) will be outlined and discussed.

 Physiology of pollination in horticultural crops
 Recent studies related to the physiology of pollination in horticultural crops (mainly fruit trees) will be outlined and discussed.
 
 Methods of propagating horticultural crops
 Recent studies related to the methods of propagating horticultural crops (mainly fruit trees) will be outlined and discussed.

 This course will be delivered primarily in a seminar format.
Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation will be based on attendance, quizzes and reports.
