Outline and Purpose of the Course | Heredity is a fundamental principle of life. The genetic information such as DNA, which is the blueprint of life, is inherited from parent to child and from child to grandchild. In this lecture, you will learn about cytogenetics and population genetics. | |||
Course Goals |
Acquire basic knowledge of cytogenetics and population genetics. Understand the mechanisms of speciation, reproductive isolation, polyploidy, meiosis, and aneuploidy. Construct a simple model of population genetics and test it with the R language. |
