Outline and Purpose of the Course Experimental laboratory work for 3rd-year students.
Each student will select a research theme, to gain a firm understanding of graduate research through specific research work.
Course Goals Master how to draft research protocols for psychology experiments, create presentations, and write reports.
Schedule and Contents Students will spend the year developing original research themes, and then conducting, analyzing, and summarizing research based on their research protocols.

1st session: Orientation.
Sessions 2-29 will be for students to report on the progress of their own research and receive feedback. Session 30 will be for all students to report their final results and receive feedback.
Since students will be designing and conducting their own experiments for the first time, it is important that they consult and seek advice from instructors, graduate students, and other senior laboratory participants, from drafting protocols to summarizing data.
Evaluation Methods and Policy In-class performance. Presentation of final research results is mandatory.
Course Requirements In principle, students will specialize in psychology.
Students will have taken Psychology Lab I, Lab II,and Course I, although not essential.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students should broadly examine and closely read related literature.
