Ph-D obtained in 1987 at the University, Pierre et Marie Curie-Paris (Paris VI) on the energy transfer in laser hosts. CNRS researcher since 1988. Post-doctoral research in the “Laboratory of Materials Science and Engineering” at UCLA. Los Angeles (USA) in 1989 and at the “Center for Laser Studies” in USC-USA in 1990. “Habilitation à diriger les recherches” in 2000 with the following title: “Nouveaux matériaux pour l’optique : lasers solides et composés luminescents”. Director of Research at the CNRS since 2003. Director of the “Photonics group” since 2010 at the LCMCP.
