授業の概要・目的 The following topics are covered: external forces acted upon structures; properties of forces; sectional forces; stress and strain; displacement and deformation; cross sectional properties; calculation of displacement; buckling of column. Statically determinate structures are to be focused on.
到達目標 To grasp the methods of analysing structures at static equilibrium conditions; to understand stress and strain, and the relationship between them; to understand the buckling phenomenon in columns.

#02: Equations of static equilibrium; Classifying structures; Determinacy and Stability of structures; Supports (Boundary condition),

#04: Beams: flexural forces,
#05: Member force diagram of beam (Shearing force diagram (SFD) and bending moment diagram (BMD)),
#06: Influence lines: Construction of Influence line; use of Influence line,
#07: Stress and strain (1): Introduction; Hooke's law,
#08: Stress and strain (2):Bending stress (normal stress) shear stress in a flexural beam;Sectional properties,
#09: Stress and strain (3):stress state and stress transformation; Mohr’s Circle,
#10: Elastic curve and deflection (Theory),
#11: Deformation of beam (utilizing Ordinary Differential Equation, Thermal effect),
#12: Deformation of beam (Elastic Beam and Conjugate Beam Methods),
#13: Statically indeterminate structures,
#14: Buckling of column,

成績評価の方法・観点 Grade is given based on the examination, quiz, assignments and participation.
履修要件 Classical mechanics
授業外学習(予習・復習)等 Students are expected to prepare for the class utilizing the handout uploaded on the PANDA or KULASIS. For the review of the class, Students are expected to read the lecture note once again and complete the homework assignment.
