Outline and Purpose of the Course In this class, we will read I. Turgenev's novel "Asya" in Russian for those students who have already learned Russian grammar. In general, Turgenev's style is classical and standard, which makes his prose suitable for confirmation of a grammar lesson and the vocabulary of Russian. With it, we will train students in translating from Russian into the appropriate Japanese. Also, we will analyze the literary work and gain a deeper knowledge of the background of the times.
