Highlights of this Course

This seminar will give non-Japanese students to brush up their language in all four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, while covering a variety of topics that may interest natural science and engineering majors.

Course Description

In this class, we read articles and listen to lectures about various science and technology issues including life science, computer technology and environment. We discuss opinions about related topics and brush up your skills to read, listen to, write and speak Japanese. We will broaden our views by discuss these topics from social and humanistic points of views as well as scientific ones. We also touch on topics about the career plans for natural science and engineering majors, and give introduction to local climate and culture so that busy students can also enjoy Kyoto as much as possible.
